- MTK IN ANOTHER RHODE ISLAND MAGAZINE! This August "Providence Monthly" is featured in the City Confidential's section under the article title: "From Grifter to Guinness".
- MTK IN ITALY!!! MTK will be in Rome during the end of May shooting a new special for the Italian television station "Rai Tre"! It'll be airing throughout Italy starting in late June and is a part of the program titled "Circo Massimo 2007". It was hosted by Fabrizio Frizzi (which to most Americans and others reading this likely means very little but to Matt's Italian fans you'll know just how big of a deal that is!). MTK will be performing several effects and stunts plus he'll finish the show off with his 12th Guinness World Record Attempt!on's "Rei Tre"!

- MTK RECEIVES ANOTHER AWARD!!! On September 3rd, 2006 Matt The Knife became the latest recipient of the "Sideshow Preservation Award"! This annual award goes to the person within the sideshow and magic community that has exhibited the highest standard of excellence within our industry and has sought to not only uphold the traditions of the past but also to bring our arts forward in to the future. When asked MTK said, "I'm thankful to all of those involved for bestowing this treasured honor upon me and I plan on continuing to uphold or to even surpass the high standards that I've set for myself that have allowed me to receive this wonderful endowment."

- MTK on NBC!!! Matt was recently asked to be on this summer's new show "America's Got Talent". Due to a variety of reasons he's politely declined - HOWEVER, he did give them permission to use footage of him for their commercials as well as some footage of him for the show itself. This was done in accordance with the first ever "Guinness World Records Day" and has officially made Matt the "Fastest One-Handed Card Cutter" in history. Edward, who acted as one of the officiating witnesses on Guinness' behalf, went on to describe the feat as "AMAZING".
- In the October 2005 issue of "ab" magazine (Amusement Business) an article by Tim O'Brien entitled "Oohs, ouches and the odd" talks about Matt The Knife as well as several of his friends.
- Besides being accepted by Guinness World Records(tm), Matt The Knife's records have also recently been verified by "The Alternative Book of Records". They can be seen in the latest edition of their book published in Germany. The new English edition isn't expected out in the US until sometime next year.
 MTK's Guinness World Records (tm) have also been accpeted in to "The Alternative Book of Records". This one had been done as a stunt for his show "Art On the Side: A Midway Menagerie"

- Out of the over 40,000 records which Guinness World Records(tm) keeps track of only 4,000 are selected for inclusion in to their annually printed book (one-third of which are sports records). This year one of MTK's records ("Longest Duration of Fire Torch Teething") has gotten the honor that less than 6% of the non-sports records receive and has been included in the book. - On September 2nd, 2005 "Matt The Knife" in accordance with Sword Swallowers Association International and 8 other sword swallowers broke the record set in 2002 for "Most Swords Swallowed by a Group" by swallowing a total of 52 swords at once (beating the previous record by 2 swords). - On September 1st, 2005 Matt The Knife with his friends Crispy (head of The Cripsy Family Carnival) and renowned swordswallower "Red" Stuart set the World's Record for "Most Fire Eaters Torch Teething" at The 4th Annual Sideshow Gathering in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is Matt's first group record and now gives him a total of five world records.

- On June 27th MTK could be found in a New York Post article that mentioned some of his latest feats.
- On June 20th MTK broke his fourth Guinness World Record(TM)! MTK was a featured guest performer in the new Off-Broadway hit Maximum Risk. As well as presenting a funny and exciting performance, MTK broke the record for the Fastest Fire Eater by orally extinguishing 40 torches in one minute thereby beating out the previous record of 36 torches.
